Al B. Sure! was destined to make a hit from the moment his falsetto was pressed onto wax and his teen-dream looks flashed across MTV in the late '80s. He didn't have the same success as the Fugees with his cover of "Killing Me Softly," but his innocuously street-tough work on songs such as "Nite And Day" was enough to rope in preadolescent girls and their mothers.
