Born in Detroit, Mills is the world's leading ambassador for pure, unadulterated, machine-kick techno. Turntablist extraordinaire, Mills started out as a radio DJ, before making his own beats and setting up labels to do just that. He's best known for his hard-hitting, stripped down sets, and also for being a founding member of the Underground Resistance. He also had a spell in Berlin, before moving to New York to pursue DJing and producing. Mills has an impressively long discography and in 2000 conjured up a new soundtrack for Fritz Lang's 1926 album Metropolis.
