Mike Stern

Guitarist Mike Stern is well-known in the jazz and fusion worlds for his dazzling work with leading lights such as Miles Davis and as a leader of various projects of his own. Born in 1953 in Boston, he later attended the Berklee School of Music. At 22 he began playing with Blood, Sweat and Tears and shortly after took a spot in Billy Cobham's band. In 1981, Stern joined Miles Davis with whom he performed and recorded with for a number of years. As well as performing with the Brecker Brothers and Jaco Pastorius, he has released several solo albums including "These Times" of 2004.
