Texan musicians Jimmy Seals and Dash Crofts formed their well-known musical duo in 1969. As Seals and Crofts, the soft-rock pairing was successful through much of the seventies. At their peak, the duo released a number of charting hits including "Summer Breeze," "Hummingbird," "Diamond Girl," "We May Never Pass This Way Again" and "Get Closer." The band courted controversy in 1974 with the single "Unborn Child". The duo largely stopped recording in 1980, but they remain active in circles of the Bahá'í faith. They occasionally reunite for special projects such as the 2004 album "Traces".
