Neil Hannon is better known as his band alter ego The Divine Comedy, which he formed in 1989 in Londonderry. Hannon is the creative spark behind the band's every move and defines their witty chamber pop with a theatrical approach. Especially the group's 3rd record "Casanova" and its two hit singles "Becoming More Like Alfie" and "Something for the Weekend" broke The Divine Comedy for a mainstream audience. After their 2001 album "Regeneration" the band broke up and Hannon went on to pursue a solo career, which he started on tour with Ben Folds.
