From Louisiana's swamplands out over the airwaves, Tony Joe White burst onto the American scene with 1969's classic "Polk Salad Annie". For over thirty years, he continued penning ballads of love and life whose soulful, bluesy and honest interpretation he honed to perfection. In the 70's and 80's White could be found on tour with James Taylor and Creedence Clearwater Revival. The 90's started off with Tina Turner recording four of his songs, and continued with legendary European tours with Eric Clapton and Joe Cocker, plus solo albums "Path of a Decent Groove" and "Lake Placid Blues".
