Alain Chamfort
Alain Chamfort studied classical piano from a young age. But it was the rock and roll and R'n'B that arrived in the 60's in France that made a lasting impression on the future singer. While studying at the university, Chamfort started accompanying various singers. He made the acquaintance of Jacques Dutronc and became the stars’ faithful sideman on numerous tours. As the 60's came to a close, Chamfort set out on his own. He signed to Claude François' label and wrote several hits for the French stars’ stable of artists. Under François' tutelage, Chamfort became a renowned pop artist.
